OUR STORY:
Kai has been making rings for years, and in 2026 Jasmine helped him build DEADWATER STEELWORKS. Turning his craft into a brand built around raw materials, good craftsmanship, and making sh*t that’s meant to be worn.
Every stainless steel ring is shaped, ground, textured, polished, and finished by Kai — one piece at a time. Jasmine built the world around them, developing the brand, visuals, and creative direction while also assisting in handcrafting Deadwater’s copper wire pieces.
Inspired by surf and skate culture, worn metal, and the coast, each collection focuses on simple forms, raw textures, and the subtle imperfections that make handmade jewelry personal. No factory production. No mass-made inventory. Because every piece is worked by hand, no two will ever be exactly the same.
DEADWATER was made for people who actually live in their jewelry — surfers, skaters, artists, musicians, and anyone who’d rather wear something with character.

Every Deadwater piece starts with a set of hands and is made to collect a history of its own. From the marks left behind while shaping the metal to the scratches and wear it picks up over time, we believe jewelry should carry evidence of the life it’s lived.
Our pieces are handcrafted individually using stainless steel and copper, with an emphasis on durability, longevity, and making the most of our materials. Rather than chasing factory-perfect finishes, we embrace the subtle variations that come from working each piece by hand.

Hand-twisted from copper wire, each “Current” ring is shaped and wrapped entirely by hand, creating a raw, organic form that’s never the same twice.
Inspired by the movement of ocean currents and the natural conductivity of copper, every twist, bend, and variation is part of the piece.
